WALKING TOUR

THE CITY AND THE VIEW

The best-preserved medieval fortification system in Europe is certainly eager to have you walk on it and take you back in time when it was built.

The walls of Dubrovnik are an ideal way to explore the city, and it touches every part of it, peaking into every corner of it and after all the close-by views we shall finalize this experience with some picture-postcard view over the whole area.

 

MEETING POINT: Ploče Gate

Revelin Fortress

We will start this tour with a brief introduction to the history of the old harbour.

City Walls

Bird view above the roofs of the city makes the walls the most beautiful promenade of the city.

Stairs are expected along the way, wear comfortable shoes (sneakers).

The entrance fee to the walls is not included in the price of the tour and is paid separately at the entrance.

Minčeta Tower

Enjoy the view of the city from its highest point.

St. John Fortress

Protecting the old harbor this fortress provides the perfect view over the Lazareti, last and the oldest official quarantine of Dubrovnik and Europe.

Learn how to read time on an ancient clock.

Narrow Town Streets

We will wander through the narrow streets of the city on the way to the cable car.

Cable Car

A short ride will give us a beautiful view of the Dubrovnik area.

 

The cable car ticket is not included in the price and you pay extra for it.

Srđ Mountain

Picture postcard view overlooking the city.

Pile Gate

We take the cable car back down. Our tour will end at the west gate to the city, Pile Gate.
